Most emergencies will be involved in the list below. Before calling for help, please review the Homeowner's Manual Section for the item requiring service. The Manual will help you decide if something very simple can be done to resolve the problem or if it is necessary to call for emergency service. Many emergencies are normally handled by the appropriate contractor or utility company. Since utilities are normally contracted directly with you, you will need to call their emergency numbers directly. In your contract, we have provided a listing of trade partners and their phone numbers to assist you in contacting the appropriate trade partner when you need them.
Examples are:
Electrical Emergencies exist when there is a malfunction in the main electrical system. Check to make sure all circuit breakers are on and that there has not been a power outage reported in your neighborhood before calling for service.
Plumbing Emergencies exist if your home is completely without water and all the toilets are stopped up. If you have at least one sink and toilet in working condition, your service call will be handled during regular business hours.
HVAC Emergencies exist if you have no heat in the house during the winter months or no air conditioning during the summer months where temperatures are over 80 degrees. If neither of the above situations apply, then your service request will be handled during regular business hours.
Water Intrusion Emergencies exist when water from any source is entering the home. You will need to take all steps necessary to prevent further damage by covering the roof, using towels and buckets and shutting off the water supply until the appropriate trade partner can come to your home and assist you.
Notice emergency situations will normally be addressed within 24 hours. Should you seek assistance from a non-Nordenstrom Custom Homes trade partner; Nordenstrom Custom Homes will not be able to reimburse you.
